Spent most of the day submitting resumes to many jobs. We are praying that either I can get more computer work or that a job comes along. We know that things are going to get better.
Other than that it was a cloudy rainy day. I did get a chance to go for a short hike across the street without getting wet.
We ordered some books to get the kids ready for testing. We have to test Genavieve but we are going to test Connor as well. We want to see where he is. We are trying to get them ready for school in case they have to go.
Anyway we would appreciate it if you would pray for work and the right door opening.

Humbled
We are having another beautiful day here and had the opportunity to take another walk on trails across the street. We went to church this morning and it was Go Guatemala which was about the team that went to Guatemala to build homes. They shared pictures and stories and it was very humbling know that for such a small amount of money ($450 to build a house) to provide such a need. The team said that they were very appreciative of the homes that they were building which by our standards would be horrible. They were 12'x12' with dirt floor, tin roof and wood siding. They had one door and one window.
I know that I there are many people struggling here in the United States but to know that there are people that are really out there trying to survive is humbling. This just makes me realize how much we take for granted and grateful I am for what I do have.
We have entered the Lent season and I challenge everyone to take a moment a think of these people who you so little but so grateful for what they do have and look at ourselves and think of one thing that you could give up for a week. It could be texting, meat, sweets, TV or anything that is would be a challenge to you and take that time to reflect on your life and how blessed you really are.
God Bless

Another great Day
After sleeping in we went to another new restaurant The Green Sage. We got some Carrot, beet, apple and ginger juice, Vegan sausage and biscuit and Vegan breakfast burrito. After that we drive around north Asheville looking at the houses and the area.
Night in Asheville
We went to Asheville last night to celebrate our Anniversary. We did some shopping and eating. It was nice to spend time together with no other distractions.
We went to Rosetta's Kitchen for lunch where we got Vegan chili cheese fries and I got a vegan chili cheeses burger with queso and jalapeƱos.
For dinner we went to our favorite Laughing Seed. I got an Indian Plate and I Risotto. Then of course desserts Coconut Tart and Carmel Apple Cake. Almost forgot Kim Bloody Mary.

Valentine's Treat
We had a great Valentine's Day. Kim made some an excellent meal. She made Mushroom Bourguignon and Fruit Pizza for dessert. I have added some pictures of the kids helping make the Fruit Pizza. The crust is Grandma Neff's Sugar Cookie recipe.
Day in Chattanooga
We went to Chattanooga to meet my brother-in-law and his family for the day. We went to the zoo and walked around downtown. After getting stuck behind a semi truck that turned over we decided to make the 1-1/2 hour detour. We eventually made it and had a good time

Hiking with Connor
Myself, Kim's stepdad Gary, Connor and the dogs went for a hike across the street. We went off the path over there and walked through the woods down to the lake. Everyone had a good time. It was about a 2.25 mile hike with a elevation gain coming home of about 300 feet. Trying to kids ready for over night hike this summer.

Nice cold day yesterday! Only got up to 30 degrees. We had snow flurries all day that were beautiful. Went to Asheville for the day and enjoyed great food at EarthFare. Only 14 degrees this morning and windy. Looks like the rest of week is looking better. Hope everyone has a blessed day.
